Welcome to our Derby Food Assembly! Register now to buy the best of Derby's local produce online. Our collection night is every Tuesday, 5.30-7.30pm at The Greyhound pub, on Friar Gate, and the weekly online sale closes late night the previous Sunday.

Every week you'll find great products direct from quality farmers, growers, bakers and makers. Come and meet the producers and enjoy a new way to eat well while supporting local producers and farmers around Derby.

Interested? Register now to buy online. There is NO commitment to buy, and no minimum order quantities.

We have worked very hard to source produce from a variety of local farmers and growers, and will continue to do so. When we say "Yes to local!" we mean it. We have sourced most of our food from no more than 25 miles away (and closer when we can).

Remember that the Derby Food Assembly is a community - get involved and let us and our producers know what you think about our assembly. Chat, questions and suggestions are all welcome, as are you!

Why join The Food Assembly?

  • Eat the most delicious and freshest food in your area. Locally sourced and more transparent, the average distance of food travelled is only 28 miles!
  • No commitment to buy and joining is free. Sharing recipes and cooking tips with your neighbours is just an extra bonus.
  • Our food producers are passionate about growing and making your food, that's why we pay them over 80% for their work, in comparison to 20-50% from supermarkets.
  • We are about real people and real food: when you pick up your order, you get to connect with your community and food in a healthier way.
