Welcome to the Halifax Food Assembly. Every week you'll find great products direct from quality farms and local producers. We are growing with more and more producers joining us offering even more choice. The Food Assembly really does offer an alternative to the supermarket; a click and collect for local food.
Joining us recently is Jayne's Cakes and Bakes for beautiful home-made cakes and more. Chapelbank Smokehouse joined us just before Christmas with their amazing smoked fish and flavoured butters.
Heritage House offers tasty chutneys and marmalades, which are great with cheese, as well as sausages and everything else you can imagine. And speaking of cheese, we now have a second cheese maker, Yorkshire Dama Cheese, who make haloum! in three different varieties, as well as dips.
We have tasty free range outdoor-reared rare breed pork from Porcus, beautiful fresh bread from Lovebread, freshly picked luscious salad and vegetables from Sagar Lane Market Garden in the spring, summer and autumn. And Incredible Aquagarden supply herbs, chillies and salad crops.
There's also gorgeous creamy organic cheese from Pextenement Cheese, wholesome fresh milk from Heath Lea Farm, including raw milk; yummy free range hen and duck eggs from Lower Balkram Edge Farm, mouth-watering beef and lamb from KLS Farm Meats and tasty home-made Italian meals from La Cucina di Francesca.
And now we are very fortunate to have Your Secret Gourmet on board with their beautiful baked goods, including pies, pastries and scones and Temujin, with a wide range of cooking sauces, oils and garnishes for healthy stir-fries.
Come and meet the producers, taste their wares and enjoy a new way to eat well while supporting local agriculture and food producers.

No commitment to buy and joining is free. Sharing recipes and cooking tips with your neighbours is just an extra bonus.
Our food producers are passionate about growing and making your food, that's why we pay them over 80% for their work, in comparison to 20-50% from supermarkets.
We are about real people and real food: when you pick up your order, you get to connect with your community and food in a healthier way.
